Marion Mieschke

I stand in awe. Not only of Jo Scanlan’s speedy return of the clean copies, but of her amazing capacity in this editing task.

She has managed to grasp so cleverly and in such a short time, the intricacies of this little community during the 40s and 50s, the people and the place (and the very complicated relationships!).

I have begun reading through the clean copy and am delighted at the flow and the structural changes she has made that bring that about.

There is terrific life added to the pages by the way she has tweaked the work. There's a lot more reading for me to do, but I am really impressed and pleased with what she has done. Thank you.
